[It's a familiar gesture, bittersweet now that it comes hand in hand with a reminder of why he'd done it. I'll come back, he'd promised. And died.
...but... sure enough, here he is.
She lets it sit there for a moment, considering the implications now that they're apart from all the chaos and heartache of the planet, of what it means for him to touch her like that- something gentle and caring, the way her father would, the way she'd seen All Might do with the boys sometimes. Not Aizawa. Never him. She lets it sit and then abruptly ducks free of it, stepping back and lifting her head with that bright smile back on her face, like she hadn't been a breath away from crying or hugging him (or both) a scant second ago.
It's not that she dislikes it. Maybe that's the problem.]
Um... okay, well! Not much we can do about it. What we can do is take care of that fever. I'm gonna get a couple of extra blankets in case you get shivers later. Finish your rice and get some rest, alright?
[just. summons patience from previously unknown depths. uraraka doesn't usually insist on things like this unless there's cause for her to.]
I understand that.
I'm not going to discuss the details of my relationship with Ms. Price with you, my student, but I do understand that you care about her as well. I'm not [god] neglecting her, but if you're that concerned I will have a discussion with her to ensure that.
[ Jayden hasn't actually really told people about the gift-giving holiday of choice back where she's from. So this is probably... coming out of nowhere. Oops? Well, there is now a gift wrapped in blue paper with a silver bow sitting outside Ochako's room, and a note that just says, "For Ochako, Happy Dawning -Jayden"
When she unwraps it, she'll find a pink wooden keepsake box with a round purple gem on top. On the inside of the lid is a framed mirror, though it's clear it could be used as a picture frame if wanted. And also? It's filled little individually wrapped candies! Half are chocolates, the other half are soft and various fruity flavors.
Glad you like it. [ Seriously - she wouldn't have been surprised if that had been a swing and a miss fdjskal She's happy that Ochako's happy! ]
The Dawning is a holiday back home. It's two weeks of remembrance and like... feel-good things. Games, presents, light-themed decorations like lanterns and candles - stuff like that. I heard other people talking about their own holidays and realized it was probably time for Dawning, too. Pretty sure, anyway. [ Time here is weird sometimes okay. ]
[ Yeah, people keep mentioning Christmas, and things about it feel just faintly, vaguely familiar enough that she's beginning to assume that was a thing in her other life. Which is interesting! If a bit of a strange feeling. ]
Oh, no-- you don't have to get me anything! Don't worry about it. [ The point was just to give a gift, not to get anything back! dgkjaf ]
Didn't know you could make candy, though - that's really neat... what kind of candy? [ Because she's legit curious - making candy sounds pretty cool in her opinion. ]
