The Dawning is a holiday back home. It's two weeks of remembrance and like... feel-good things. Games, presents, light-themed decorations like lanterns and candles - stuff like that. I heard other people talking about their own holidays and realized it was probably time for Dawning, too. Pretty sure, anyway. [ Time here is weird sometimes okay. ]

Ohhhh, I see! Like Christmas is for a lot of people, then. That's amazing... I guess there's just something special about that time of year.

Oh, but I didn't get you anything! Do you like candy, too? I can make stuff!

[ Yeah, people keep mentioning Christmas, and things about it feel just faintly, vaguely familiar enough that she's beginning to assume that was a thing in her other life. Which is interesting! If a bit of a strange feeling. ]

Didn't know you could make candy, though - that's really neat... what kind of candy? [ Because she's legit curious - making candy sounds pretty cool in her opinion. ]

Nothing too fancy! But gummies aren't too far from mochi, so I make those sometimes. The gelatin here is easy enough to work with. Wagashi is really popular and easy to do with the same kind of ingredients. I like it with red beans, it's nice and sweet. And they're fun to decorate.

Oh, and I like to make fudge, too! Usually chocolate, it's cheap and always tastes yummy.

Yeah, fudge is always good. [ Legit. ] What's wagashi? I've never heard of that, but it sounds interesting.

Oh, they're just what we call little candies and treats- like finger food? Mochi is one of them, but there's a whole bunch of different kinds. You can make 'em with fruits, bean paste, mashed rice, or even just sugar... ahhh, there's too many to list! But it's all tasty.

[ Okay so... in general, she doesn't have some crazy sweet tooth or anything like that, but listening to her talk about all this homemade candy may as well be giving her one. Dang. ]
